Section 308-48-530. Continuing education basic requirement—Amount.

- (1) Every individual licensed as a funeral director and/or embalmer or registered as a funeral director intern and/or embalmer intern, shall be required to complete ten hours of approved continuing education every two years as a condition of renewal of such licenses or registrations.(2) Continuing education credits in excess of the required hours earned in any renewal period may not be carried forward to a subsequent renewal period.(3) The department shall not renew a license or registration or issue a new license or registration to any person who has failed to submit evidence of completion of ten hours of approved continuing education for the prior two-year period.
