- (1) Program staff may allow the use of hand sanitizer products when a child's parent or guardian has given written and signed permission as described in WAC 170-270-3375(2) for hand sanitizer use.(2) Hand sanitizer products may be used:(a) When handwashing facilities are not available, such as an outing, emergency, or disaster; or(b) After proper handwashing.(3) Hand sanitizer gels must not be used in place of proper handwashing if handwashing facilities are available.[Statutory Authority: Chapter 43.215 RCW.
