Section 296-96-23412. What requirements apply to anti-slide devices?

- On high deck balustrades, antislide devices must be provided on decks or combination of decks when the outer edge of the deck is greater than 12 inches from the centerline of the handrail or on adjacent escalators when the distance between the centerline of the handrails is greater than 16 inches.These devices must consist of raised objects fastened to the decks, not closer than 4 inches to the handrail and spaced not greater than 6 feet apart. The height must be no less than 3/4 inch. There must be no sharp corners or edges.
