Section 284-17-483. Termination of an appointment or affiliation by an insurance producer.

- (1) An insurance producer or surplus line broker may terminate its appointment or affiliation with an insurer or business entity by sending advance written notice to the insurer or business entity and send a copy via e-mail to the commissioner.(2) The notice must state that the insurance producer or surplus line broker will no longer transact insurance on behalf of the business entity, as the case may be.(3) The effective date of the termination is the date of receipt by the commissioner.[Statutory Authority: RCW 48.15.015 and 48.17.005.
