- To become an East Asian medicine practitioner, an applicant must have training in East Asian medicine sciences consisting of a minimum of seventy-five quarter credits or fifty semester or trimester credits. These credits must include the following subjects of acupuncture/East Asian medicine:(1) Fundamental principles;(2) Diagnosis;(3) Pathology;(4) Therapeutics;(5) Meridians/vessels and points; and(6) Techniques, including electro-acupuncture.[Statutory Authority: Chapter 18.06 RCW and 2010 c 286.
