- (1) A person must possess a current license issued by the department before advertising, operating, managing, conducting, opening or maintaining a hospice care center.(2) Prior to being issued a license as a hospice care center, an applicant must:(a) Be licensed as an in-home services agency licensed to provide hospice services;(b) Obtain a certificate of need under chapter 70.38 RCW;(c) Complete the construction review process;(d) Receive a certificate of occupancy by local building officials;(e) Submit a completed application and appropriate fee;(f) Develop policies and procedures addressing the content of this chapter; and(g) Meet the requirements of this chapter as determined by an initial survey completed by the department.[Statutory Authority: Chapter 70.127 RCW.
