Section 246-322-060. HIV/AIDS education and training.

- The licensee shall:(1) Verify or arrange appropriate education and training of staff within thirty days of employment on the prevention, transmission, and treatment of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) consistent with RCW 70.24.310; and(2) Use infection control standards and educational material consistent with:(a) The approved curriculum manual KNOW - HIV/AIDS Prevention Education for Health Care Facility Employees, January 1991, or subsequent editions published by the department; and(b) WAC 296-62-08001, Bloodborne pathogens implementing WISHA.[Statutory Authority: Chapter 71.12 RCW and RCW 43.60.040.
