Section 173-360-395. Applicability to previously closed UST systems.

When directed by the department or delegated agency, the owner or operator of an UST system permanently closed or abandoned before December 22, 1988, shall have a person registered to perform site assessments assess the site and shall have a licensed tank services provider close the UST system in accordance with WAC 173-360-380 through 173-360-398 if releases from the UST may, in the judgment of the department or delegated agency, pose a current or potential threat to human health and the environment.
