- Sheep or goats that are infected or suspected of being infected with an infectious or communicable disease after a positive official test, or other probable cause as determined by the director, will be quarantined as provided under RCW 16.36.010. If owners refuse to allow the department to test for diseases provided for in this chapter, all sheep and goats on the premises will be regarded as a menace to the health of livestock, and the premises on which they are kept will be immediately quarantined and no animals or products of these animals may be removed from the premises.[Statutory Authority: RCW 16.36.040 and chapter 34.05 RCW.
