Notice of Interpretive or Policy Statement
In accordance with RCW 34.05.230(12), following is a list of policy and interpretive statements issued by the health care authority (HCA).
HCA Legal and Administrative Services
Document Title: Provider Notice #12-60.
Subject: Hospice Medicaid Provider Guide.
Effective Date: August 1, 2012.
Effective for dates of service on and after August 1, 2012, the medicaid program of the HCA published a revised Hospice Services Medicaid Provider Guide.
Specific changes to the guide included: Adding payment information about swing beds. Updating information on client participation. Adding that private duty nursing is not covered except under exception to rule. Adding a reminder that all claims must have an attending provider included on the UB-04 claim.
