Notice of Interpretive or Policy Statement
In accordance with RCW 34.05.230(12), following is a list of policy and interpretive statements issued by the department of social and health services.
Medicaid Purchasing Administration Division of Rates and Finance
Document Title: Medicaid State Plan Amendment 11-16.Subject: Rural health centers.
Effective Date: July 1, 2011.
Document Description: The department is submitting state plan amendment 11-16 to comply with legislation passed for the 2011-2013 biennial budget, directing the department to reduce encounter rates paid to federally-qualified and rural health center (FQHC and RHC) providers by adopting a new payment methodology effective July 1, 2011. The new methodology utilizes the medicare economic index and results in an average 10.6 percent rate reduction.
