Notice of Interpretive or Policy Statement

     In accordance with RCW 34.05.230(12), following is a list of policy and interpretive statements issued by the department of social and health services (DSHS).

Division of Legal Services

     Document Title: # Memo 10-07.

     Subject: Neurodevelopmental Centers: Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) devices no longer covered.

     Effective Date: February 1, 2010.

     Document Description: Effective for dates of service on and after February 1, 2010, DSHS will:

?	Notify providers that TENS devices and related supplies will be noncovered for independent in-home use; and
?	Remove references to TENS devices within the DSHS/HRSA neurodevelpmental [neurodevelopmental] centers billing instructions.
