Section 478-116-221. Use of motorcycles, mopeds, scooters, and motorized bicycles.

- (1) Motorcycles, scooters, mopeds, and motorized bicycles powered or assisted by combustible engines or engaged electric motors are considered motor vehicles and subject to all traffic rules. These vehicles shall not be permitted on paths, sidewalks, authorized bicycle or pedestrian areas, or in buildings.(2) Bicycles assisted by electric motors are permitted on campus paths and sidewalks where bicycles are permitted to travel if the motor is disengaged and the bicycle is powered solely through human pedaling.[Statutory Authority: RCW 28B.10.560 and 28B.20.130.
