Section 392-172A-07020. State performance plans and data collection.

- (1) The OSPI has established a performance plan that evaluates the state's efforts to implement the requirements and purposes of Part B of the act, and describes how the state will improve such implementation. The plan is reviewed every six years, with any amendments provided to the department of education.(2)(a) As part of the state performance plan, the OSPI has established measurable and rigorous targets for indicators established by the department of education under the priority areas of general supervision including child find, effective monitoring, use of resolution meetings, mediation, and a system of transition services.(b) The OSPI must collect valid and reliable information from the districts, monitoring, and state data, as needed to report annually to the department of education on their indicators.(c) Data collected on specific indicators through state monitoring or sampling are collected on those indicators for each school district at least once during the six year period of the state performance plans.(3) Nothing in Part B of the act shall be construed to authorize the development of a statewide or nationwide data base of personally identifiable information on individuals involved in studies or other collections of data under Part B of the act.[Statutory Authority: RCW 28A.155.090(7) and 42 U.S.C. 1400 et. seq.
