Section 392-140-630. Special education safety net—Special education program audit—Purpose, procedures.

Special education program audits by staff of the state auditor's office may be requested to assist the state safety net oversight committee. When reviewing an applicant's special education program, the auditors may review and verify any certifications and supporting information provided by the applicant in a safety net application. The auditors will provide the results of the review to the state oversight committee. The results of the auditor's review may be considered by the oversight committee in determining, adjusting, or recovering safety net awards.
