Section 392-121-200. Definition—Certificated employee.

- As used in this chapter, "certificated employee" means:(1) A person who holds a professional education certificate issued by the superintendent of public instruction and who is employed by a school district or charter school in a position for which such certificate is required by statute, rule of the professional educator standards board, or written policy or practice of the employing school district; or(2) A superintendent or a person hired to fill a position designated as, or which is, in fact, deputy superintendent or assistant superintendent; or(3) A charter school's lead administrator or a person hired to fill a position as the lead administrator's deputy administrator or assistant administrator.[Statutory Authority: RCW 28A.150.290 and 28A.710.220.
