Section 388-450-0145. Income of a person who is not a member of a food assistance unit.

- (1) A cash payment made to a food assistance unit from a person who is not a member of the assistance unit is counted as unearned income.(2) The following types of income are not available to the assistance unit:(a) The nonmember's income; and(b) Payments made by a nonmember to a third party for the benefit of the assistance unit.(3) When the nonmember's earnings are not clearly separate from the earnings of food assistance unit members, the earnings are:(a) Divided equally among the working persons, including the nonmember; and(b) The portion of the nonmember is not counted.
