Section 388-25-0175. Under what circumstances may the department provide foster care for educational purposes?

- (1) The department may provide licensed foster care for a child with physical or mental disabilities when requested by a school district and in concurrence with the wishes of the parents, in accordance with WAC 388-25-0030.(2) The department will not make the payment when the only need for foster care arises from the need for an education. The department will only pay the cost of foster care when one of the conditions of WAC 388-25-0030 applies.[Statutory Authority: RCW 74.13.031.
