  • Long-term care worker dementia specialty training must include all the competencies and learning objectives described in WAC 388-112-0132 for the following topics:
    (1) Introduction to the dementias;
    (2) Dementia, depression, and delirium;
    (3) Dementia caregiving principles;
    (4) Communicating with people who have dementia;
    (5) Sexuality and dementia;
    (6) Rethinking "problem" behaviors;
    (7) Hallucinations and delusions;
    (8) Helping with activities of daily living (ADLs); and
    (9) Working with family and friends.
