Chapter 388-107. Licensing requirements for enhanced services facilities. |
Section 388-107-0880. Dining, dayrooms, and resident activity areas.

- (1) The facility must provide one or more rooms designated for resident dining and activities that is:(a) Well lighted;(b) Well ventilated;(c) Adequately furnished;(d) Large enough to accommodate all residents; and(e) Large enough to accommodate all resident activities.(2) The facility must design space for dining rooms, dayrooms, and activity areas for resident convenience and comfort and to provide a homelike environment. The facility must:(a) Ensure these rooms or areas are exterior rooms with windows that have a maximum sill height of thirty-six inches;(b) Provide space for dining, day use, and activities with a minimum of one hundred fifty square feet or combined total of thirty square feet for each licensed bed, whichever is greater;(c) Design any multipurpose rooms to prevent program interference with each other; and(d) Provide adjoining or adjacent storage spaces for all activity and recreational equipment and supplies.[Statutory Authority: Chapter 70.97 RCW.
