Chapter 388-107. Licensing requirements for enhanced services facilities. |
Section 388-107-0530. Tuberculosis (TB)—Reporting and follow-up—Required.

- The enhanced services facility must:(1) Report any staff person or resident with TB symptoms or a positive chest radiograph to the appropriate health care provider in accordance with chapter 246-101 WAC;(2) Follow the infection control and safety measures as suggested in the 2003 CDC Guidelines for Environmental Infection Control in Health-Care Facilities (http://www.cdc.gov/MMWR/preview/MMWRhtml/rr5210a1.htm), or as hereafter amended);(3) Ensure that staff persons caring for a resident with suspected TB comply with the Washington Industrial Safety and Health Act standard for respiratory protection found in chapter 296-842 WAC.[Statutory Authority: Chapter 70.97 RCW.
