Section 388-107-0360. Medication refusal—Antipsychotics.

- (1) When a resident who is being administered antipsychotic medication, chooses to not take his or her medications after two or three attempts, the enhanced services facility must:(a) Respect the resident's right to choose not to take medication;(b) Document the time, date and medication the resident did not take in the medical record; and(c) Notify the physician within eight hours of the refusal.(d) Notify the DSHS case manager within twenty four hours of the refusal.[Statutory Authority: Chapter 70.97 RCW.
