Section 388-101D-0345. Disposal of medications.

- (1) The service provider or his/her designee must properly dispose of all medications that are discontinued, out of date, or superseded by another.(2) When disposing client medications the service provider must list the:(a) Medication;(b) Amount; and(c) Date that it was disposed.(3) Two people, one of whom may be the client, must verify the disposal by signature.(4) For group homes that have an assisted living facility or adult family home license, refer to chapters 388-78A or 388-76 WAC for medication disposal requirements.[WSR 16-14-058, recodified as § 388-101D-0345, filed 6/30/16, effective 8/1/16.
