Section 332-22-170. Geothermal resources lease—Area.

Leases to explore for and develop geothermal resources shall not exceed 640 acres or one entire government-surveyed section. Leases will be issued at the sole discretion of the department and only on land where the state controls the surface rights and the agency managing that land authorizes this use.
