Section 296-96-23206. What requirements apply to car platforms and frames?

- Every elevator car must have a platform consisting of a nonperforated floor attached to a platform frame supported by the car frame and extending over the entire area within the car enclosure.(1) Holes in the floor for the safety plank wrench, etc., must be covered and secured.(2) The platform frame members and the floor must be designed to withstand the forces developed under the loading conditions for which the elevator is designed and installed.
