Section 296-96-11078. What is required for belt manlift inspections?

- (1) All manlifts must be inspected by a qualified person, designated by the lift's owner, at least once every 30 days.(2) The inspection must cover (but is not limited to) the following items:• Belt and belt tension• Bottom (boot) and pulley• Brake• Clearance• Drive pulley• Driving mechanism• Electrical switches• Guardrails• Handholds and fastenings• Lubrication• Motor• Pulley supports• Rails, rail supports and fastenings• Rollers and slides• Signal equipment• Steps and fastenings• Warning signs and lights(3) A written record must be kept of results of each inspection, and it must be made available to all inspectors.
