Section 296-96-02485. What is required for emergency escape hatches?

- Emergency escape hatches must be hinged and secured from the car top so that the cover opens from the top of the car only. The hatch must be able to be opened without the use of tools.EXCEPTION:Machine roomless elevators are exempt from this requirement.
