You must:

• Do both of the following when driving PITs onto an elevator:

– Approach slowly.

– Enter the elevator squarely after the elevator car is leveled.

• Do all the following after the PIT is positioned on the elevator:

– Neutralize the controls.

– Shut off the power.

– Set the brakes.
