- You must:• Implement appropriate protective measures while you conduct your exposure evaluation.– Employees performing activities with exposure to airborne formaldehyde that could exceed the 0.75 ppm, 8-hour time weighted average (TWA8), or the 2 ppm 15-minute short-term exposure limit (STEL), need to follow the requirements in WAC 296-856-30010 through 296-856-40030 of this chapter.Reference:For respirator requirements, turn to Respirators, WAC 296-856-40060.
