Section 296-806-47508. Follow these requirements for feed roll guarding.

- (1) You must make sure that feed rolls have a hood or guard to prevent the operator's hands from coming in contact with the in-running rolls at any point.(2) You must make sure that the guard meets ALL of the following:(a) Is constructed of heavy material, preferably metal.(b) The bottom of the guard comes down to within three-eighths inch of the plane formed by the bottom or working surfaces of the feed rolls. When the three-eighths inch distance is increased to three-quarter inch, the lead edge of the hood must be extended to five and one-half inches or more in front of the nip point between the front roll and the work.
