Section 296-62-20025. Observation of monitoring.

- (1) Employee observation. The employer shall provide affected employees or their representatives an opportunity to observe any measuring or monitoring of employee exposure to coke oven emissions conducted pursuant to WAC 296-62-20007.(2) Observation procedures.(a) Whenever observation of the measuring or monitoring of employee exposure to coke oven emissions requires entry into an area where the use of protective clothing or equipment is required, the employer shall provide the observer with and assure the use of such equipment and shall require the observer to comply with all other applicable safety and health procedures.(b) Without interfering with the measurement, observers shall be entitled to:(i) An explanation of the measurement procedures;(ii) Observe all steps related to the measurement of coke oven emissions performed at the place of exposure; and(iii) Record the results obtained.[Order 77-14, § 296-62-20025, filed 7/25/77.]
