- (1) Location. Temporary storage for explosives at blast sites must be located away from:• Inhabited buildings• Railways• Highways• Other magazines(2) Separation distance. A distance must be maintained between magazines and the blast site. This distance must be a minimum of:• One hundred fifty feet when the quantity of explosives is greater than twenty-five pounds• Fifty feet when the quantity of explosives is twenty-five pounds or less.[Statutory Authority: RCW 49.17.010, [49.17].040, and [49.17].050.
