- To be considered for a blaster's license, limited to one or more List A classifications, an applicant must have a minimum of forty hours documented training accrued during the previous six years.The training must include a minimum of one of these three requirements:• Eight hours basic blaster safety classroom training and thirty-two hours classification specific field training experience under a qualified blaster• Sixteen hours basic blaster safety classroom training and twenty-four hours classification specific field training experience under a qualified blaster• Twelve months classification specific field training experience.Aerial blasting classification shall require:• Standard avalanche control blaster's license• Experience requirement of five missions under the supervision of a licensed aerial blaster• Successful completion of a written exam.Note:Additional personnel on board with a standard avalanche control blaster's license may log each mission toward the aerial blasting endorsement experience requirement.
