Section 296-31-085. Can out-of-state providers bill the department?

- (1) Providers of mental health diagnostic and treatment services located outside the state of Washington:(a) May bill us for services that we allow and are authorized by the crime victims compensation program mental health treatment rules;(b) Must bill us according to the provisions of this chapter;(c) Must bill their usual and customary fees; and(d) Will be paid according to the Washington state crime victims compensation program mental health treatment rules and fees.Exception: Hospitals located outside the state of Washington are paid according to WAC 296-30-081.(2) Independent medical or mental health examinations must be billed and will be paid according to the examiner’s usual and customary fee.
