Section 296-307-36403. How must flexible cords and cables be installed and maintained?

- (1) Extension cords used with portable electric tools and appliances must be three wire and must be fitted with an approved grounding attachment plug and receptacle providing ground continuity.Exception:This does not apply to cords used with portable tools and equipment provided by an approved system of double insulation or its equivalent.(2) Worn or frayed electric cables are prohibited.[WSR 97-09-013, recodified as § 296-307-36403, filed 4/7/97, effective 4/7/97.
