Section 296-307-18020. What requirements apply to machine controls?

- (1) If machine operation requires the presence of an operator on the machine, a "stop button" must be provided on the machine within reach of the operator.(2) Power control devices must be marked to indicate the function and machine they control. "On" and "off" must be marked.(3) "Stop" buttons must be red or orange. Each machine must have one or more stop buttons according to the working position of the operators.(4) Power control devices must be located or guarded to prevent unexpected or accidental movement of the control.
