Section 296-305-06509. Apparatus areas.

- (1) Three feet of clearance shall be maintained around apparatus parked within the station where the station's width permits.(2) All fire stations built after December 17, 1977, shall have a minimum of three feet of clearance around the apparatus, which shall be maintained free of any storage or obstruction.(3) The station's apparatus floors shall be kept free of grease, oil, water and tripping hazards.(4) Floors shall have slip-resistant surfaces on areas where personnel would normally mount or dismount apparatus.(5) No Class I or Class II flammable liquids shall be used for cleaning purposes to remove grease or dirt from apparatus.[Statutory Authority: RCW 49.17.010, [49.17].050 and [49.17].060.
