  • (1) You must prevent piston rod lock nuts from becoming loose and allowing rod to drop when supporting a load. A lock nut must be secured to piston rod by a castellated nut and cotter-pin.
    (2) You must use a clevis or other means to prevent hoists cylinder becoming detached from hanger.
