Section 296-23-145. Duplication of X rays and extra views.

- Every attempt should be made to minimize the number of X rays taken for workers. The attending doctor or any other person or institution having possession of X rays which pertain to the injury and are deemed to be needed for diagnostic or treatment purposes should make these X rays available upon request.The department or self-insurer will not authorize or pay for additional X rays when recent X rays are available except when presented with adequate information regarding the need to re-X ray.
