Section 296-20-12055. Structured intensive multidisciplinary program (SIMP) for chronic noncancer pain.

(1) Injured workers eligible for benefits under Title 51 RCW may be evaluated for and enrolled in a comprehensive treatment program for chronic noncancer pain if it meets the definition of a structured, intensive, multidisciplinary program (SIMP). The goals for this program are to help workers recover their function, reduce or eliminate disability, and improve the quality of their lives by helping them cope effectively with chronic noncancer pain.

(2) Prior authorization is required for all workers to participate in a SIMP for functional recovery from chronic pain.
