- This part addresses electrical safety requirements that are necessary for the practical safeguarding of employees involved in construction work and is divided into 4 major divisions and applicable definitions as follows:(1) Introduction and definitions. Definitions applicable to this part are contained in WAC 296-155-462.(2) Installation safety requirements. Installation safety requirements are contained in WAC 296-155-441 through 296-155-459. Included in this category are electric equipment and installations used to provide electric power and light on job site.(3) Safety-related work practices. Safety-related work practices are contained in WAC 296-155-428 and 296-155-429. In addition to covering the hazards arising from the use of electricity at job sites, these regulations also cover the hazards arising from the accidental contact, direct or indirect, by employees with all energized lines, above or below ground, passing through or near the job site.(4) Safety-related maintenance and environmental considerations. Safety-related maintenance and environmental considerations are contained in WAC 296-155-432 and 296-155-434.(5) Safety requirements for special equipment. Safety requirements for special equipment are contained in WAC 296-155-437.
