Section 250-61-065. Waiver of requirements.

Latest version.
  • The executive director or the director's designee may waive or modify the authorization requirements contained in this chapter for a particular institution if the executive director or the director's designee finds that such waiver or modification will not frustrate the purposes of this chapter; and (1) that literal application of this chapter creates a manifestly unreasonable hardship on the institution; or (2) is an institution based out-of-state that provides distance learning courses and/or programs to Washington state residents under a state authorization reciprocity agreement entered into by the Washington student achievement council. No waiver granted under this chapter is permanent. The council will periodically review institutions granted waivers and continue the waiver only if the conditions under which the waiver was initially granted remain in effect.
