These rules govern the use of opioids in the treatment of patients for chronic noncancer pain. Nothing in these rules in any way restricts the current scope of practice of osteopathic physician assistants as set forth in chapters 18.57 and 18.57A RCW and the working agreements between the osteopathic physician and the osteopathic physician assistant, which may include pain management.
