Chapter 246-847. Occupational therapists. |
Section 246-847-055. Initial application for individuals who have not practiced within the past four years.

- (1) Any initial applicant who has not been actively engaged in the practice of occupational therapy within the past four years shall provide, in addition to the requirements for licensure as specified in RCW 18.59.050 and WAC 246-847-190:(a) Evidence of having successfully completed an approved occupational therapy or occupational therapy assistant program within the past four years and documentation of thirty hours of continued competency as described in WAC 246-847-065 for the previous two-year period; or(b) Evidence of having passed the examination as defined in WAC 246-847-080 within the previous two-year period and documentation of thirty hours of continued competency as described in WAC 246-847-065 for the previous two year-period; or(c) Evidence of having successfully completed a board approved educational program specifically designed for occupational therapists or occupational therapy assistants preparing for reentry into the field of occupational therapy.(2) The applicant may be required to appear before the board for oral interview.
