Section 246-808-130. Temporary permits—Issuance and duration.

- (1) An applicant may request a temporary practice permit by submitting to the commission:(a) A completed application on forms provided by the department with the request for a temporary practice permit indicated;(b) An application fee and a temporary practice permit fee as specified in WAC 246-808-990; and(c) Written verification directly from all states in which the applicant has a license, attesting that the applicant has a license in good standing and is not subject to charges or disciplinary action for unprofessional conduct or impairment.(2) The commission shall issue a one-time-only temporary practice permit unless the commission determines a basis for denial of the license or issuance of a conditional license.(3) The temporary permit shall expire immediately upon:(a) The issuance of a license by the commission;(b) Initiation of an investigation of the applicant by the commission;(c) Failure to pass the examinations given by the commission; or(d) Three months, whichever occurs first.An applicant who has failed the examination must apply for and take the next examination for which they are eligible.[Statutory Authority: Chapter 18.25 RCW.
