- The local health officer may require:(1) Sampling of drinking water when public health concerns exist about drinking water contaminants other than lead or copper;(2) Corrective actions in response to sampling results for other contaminants; and(3) School officials to notify school facility staff, students and parents, and the local health officer about test results.[Statutory Authority: RCW 43.20.050.
