Section 246-335-220. Pharmaceutical services area.

- (1) Pharmaceutical services area(s) must be accessible only to authorized personnel.(2) A hospice care center must provide pharmacy services area(s) consistent with WAC 246-865-050 which include adequate space for:(a) A work counter;(b) A handwash sink;(c) A soap and paper towel dispenser;(d) Drug storage units constructed of metal, solid wood, or plywood which provide:(i) Locked storage for all drugs;(ii) Separate keyed storage for Schedule II - IV controlled substances;(iii) Segregated storage for each patient's drugs;(e) A lockable refrigerator for storage of heat sensitive drugs; and(f) Other storage needed according to the hospice care center's functional program.[Statutory Authority: Chapter 70.127 RCW.
