Section 246-272B-07550. Connection to a sanitary sewer system.

- (1) The department may require the LOSS owner to connect some or all residences, structures, lots and units to a sanitary sewer system consistent with WAC 246-272B-07450 (4)(b).(2) If the local health officer or local regulations require connection to a sanitary sewer system, the owner shall abandon the LOSS according to WAC 246-272B-07500.(3) The department shall not approve a new LOSS if sanitary sewer service is available within two hundred feet of the property line, or other distance specified in local regulation, and:(a) The local board of health or county has passed a local regulation requiring connection to a sanitary sewer system to protect public health; or(b) Connection to a sanitary sewer system is required by the local comprehensive land use plan or local development regulations.[Statutory Authority: RCW 70.118B.020.
