Section 242-03-580. Continuance of hearing.

Other than for settlement purposes pursuant to WAC 242-03-575, continuance of a scheduled hearing will be granted only on the board's initiative or upon timely request of a party setting forth in detail the reason for such a request and a date by which such reason will no longer apply. The board will continue the hearing only in extraordinary circumstances and upon a finding of good cause. Continuance and rescheduling of a hearing on the merits or compliance hearing does not extend the statutory deadline for filing a final decision or for taking action to achieve compliance with the act.
