- The department will work cooperatively with associations representing the interests of large and small forest landowners to develop more efficient alternate planning guidance and processes. In pursuing greater efficiency and technical assistance, the department will consider:(1) Successful alternate plans, and small forest landowner alternate management strategies and processes that can be used by other small forest landowners as examples of the plan development and approval process;(2) Auditing and monitoring results;(3) Maintaining a list of technical experts available to landowners in preparing such plans; and(4) Partnerships between the department and organizations supporting forest land stewardship principles.
